Der System-Prozessablauf sieht wie folgt aus:

Das flüssige Kältemittel im Verdampfer des Gerätes wird mit der im Tankinneren zirkulierenden Luft ausgetauscht. Die Temperatur steigt von flüssig zu gasförmig an und wird in die Ansaugöffnung des Kompressors gesaugt. Das Hochtemperatur- und Hochdruck-Kältemittelgas strömt nach der Verdichtung durch den Kompressor durch. Der Ölabscheider trennt das im Verdichtungsprozess mitgeführte Kältemaschinenöl und tritt dann in den Kondensator ein und tauscht Wärme mit Umgebungsluft oder Kühlwasser aus, um von hoch zu wechseln temperatur und hochdruck gas zu hochdruck normal temperatur flüssigkeit. Die Hochdruckkältemittelflüssigkeit mit normaler Temperatur wird durch einen Filter getrocknet und dann durch ein Expansionsventil, das heißt von einer Hochdruckflüssigkeit zu einer Niederdruckflüssigkeit, gedrosselt und drucklos gemacht. Die Niederdruckflüssigkeit (niedrigerer Siedepunkt) tritt in den Verdampfer des Geräts ein, und die Kühlluft wird durch die Umluft in das Innere des Tanks geleitet, um eine Kühlung zu erreichen.
